Tone It Up

When it comes to toning and defining our bodies it always comes down to only a couple of things. The first is a proper diet and leaning down to a certain body fat percentage. The other is the amount of muscle we have.

The fastest and easiest way to get that tone and defined look that so many of us are looking for is through building strength and muscle. The best way to do this is through strength training using external loads like dumbbells, barbells, and kettlebells.

Even just a little bit of muscle will take you a long way. A little bit more muscle will help us shed those stubborn pounds.

Building muscle does not always mean a bulky look. Everyone is going to have a point where they feel they have enough or too much muscle.

It is really hard to build muscle. Even men, who are made to pack on muscle, have really a hard time building muscle.

This means it is really easy for everyone to regulate how much or how little muscle they put on their bodies.

There are a few things that we need to have in place in order for us to reach a toned look.

Here are your ingredients for toning up.

Drink water

Drink about half your bodyweight in ounces. It sounds like a lot, your body will need it after all the hard work you will put it through.

Eat protein

You will need to eat a lot of it. Somewhere around 1-2 grams of protein for every kilogram you are heavy. The protein will also help your body rebuild and heal after each workout.

Strength training

Strength train using workouts programmed for strength and muscle. We need the extra muscle for the toned look. The strength will increase the density of your muscles giving them a more stiff and stronger look.

In order to get the toned look you want you need to build muscle. Even though muscle is hard to build it is a benefit because it burns lots of calories and fat. All we need to build a few pounds of muscle is water, protein, and lots of hard work picking up heavy weights.
